"The
Provincial Almoner welcomes Brethren of Middlesex Lodges, former
Members and their widows who might be in distress, making contact
with him. Whilst the various Middlesex Masonic charities have limited
resources, he and they are keen to investigate and help in appropriate
cases."
"Local
charities whose sphere of operation is in the Middlesex area, and
need help with equipment or projects should e-mail the Provincial
Almoner giving full details of the charity and the project, and
he will provide further information."

Charity is
at the heart of Freemasonry
"The Three Grand Principles by which
we stand are Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. Freemasons are taught
to practise charity and to care, not only for their own, but also
for the community as a whole, both by charitable giving, and by
voluntary efforts and works as individuals.
The Provincial Grand Charity Steward provides assistance to the
Lodge Charity Stewards on any matters charitable and his role is
also to advise and encourage charitable activity within the Lodges.
From the operation of a relief chest, the importance of maximising
gift aid through the use of gift aid envelopes to informing about
the Provincial as well as National Masonic charities.
He is assisted by five Charity Forum Centre Chairman (see
Charity Forum) who are on hand to help the Charity Stewards
with anything they may need."
