White Table Meetings
White Table meetings are proving as popular as ever
and are successfully introducing new members
into our Lodges. A White Table dinner enables Lodge members to
include their wives, partners and
non-Masonic friends in their Masonic activities. It also provides
an open forum for potential new members to experience one part
of our enjoyment of the Craft. It is not intended to be a substitute
for a Ladies’ Night. Another variation is to hold a ‘male
only’ White Table if you so wish.
The Province has a team of experienced speakers
available for these White Table meetings. They include Chris Connop,
Martin Katz, Michael Karn and Derek Mauri. The latter speaks on
the R.M.B.I. charities.
All the speakers have received high praise from
the Lodges to which they have given talks. Their presentations
highlight the dignity and high importance of Freemasonry and place
the organisation in the context of today’s society. Each,
naturally, has his own style of presentation – but all are
informative and delivered with knowledge and humour.
If you are considering a White Table meeting, of
either type, give me a call. I will be delighted to offer advice,
if needed, and arrange for one of the speakers to join you. In
view of the growing popularity of this type of meeting please
give me as much notice as possible to make the arrangements.
